Pictures! Part 11 - Spring Sakura and my Birthday Weekend!

Spring has finally sprung here in Ogaki. The weather is nice, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom for roughly two weeks. On my way to and from work every day I get to see them in the prettiest place in Ogaki. We also went to Kyoto to enjoy the flowers. Check it out!

Of all the times I've been to Kyoto this was my first time seeing an actual Geisha!

This last weekend way my birthday and it was a blast! On Friday, the actual day of my birthday, my tutor gave me a gift during my Japanese lesson. So sweet! Then I ended the day with my favorite student who gave me a card and a hand-made trinket. And during the day specialty puddings (its a Japanese thing) were bought for the office and everyone sang happy b-day to me. It was a nice day. That night I went to the American Diner with a few of the boys for dinner. Mmmmm, burgers and beer. Saturday night began with me hanging out at Miroku with Jarrett and Briana, and then eventually Teppei. Then the guys came out and we enjoyed the nice nighttime weather in the park. It was pretty fun. Sunday a few of us went bowling and shopping in a large mall in Gifu, and then that night all my friends got together for dinner and drinks for my official birthday celebration. All in all it was a really good weekend and I am so blessed to have such good friends.

Photobooth pictures at the mall!

Me and Hiro in Miroku.

Jamie and I loosing badly at Bowling.

KBBQ for dinner! I go there so often they gave me a free dish for my birthday!

Well that's all from me for now. Updates later about the beginning of a new school year.
